A CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), also known as subscription farming, allows members of the community an opportunity to buy a subscription for produce, poultry or eggs. Subscriptions are for the entire 26 week CSA session and are paid in full a few months prior to the start of the session. This allows our family farm to plan and begin the process growing for your family.

Our City Farm CSA is flexible and modular allowing for a customized basket that is perfect for all households. By having cafeteria-style CSA options, we allow members to customize the size and type of  basket for their lifestyle. For example: If you are a household of two adults that eat eggs daily for breakfast and bake weekly. You may decide to get a half share of produce, a half share of chicken and a double share of eggs. Or perhaps you don't eat meat, and love egg, you may select a full produce share and full share of eggs with no chicken share.

 

Share Amounts and Frequency

Whole shares of produce, poultry, eggs and dairy are available weekly for pickup/delivery. A whole share of produce should feed 3-4 people per week and consists of approximately 7 to 10 different vegetables, including at least 1 fresh herb. A half share will feed 3-4 people every other week or 2-3 people a week and consists of approximately 5 to 6 different vegetables, including at least 1 fresh herb. A sampler share will feed 1-2 people every other week.

Whole share of chicken consists of 1 whole pasture-raised chicken every week, while a half share is 1 whole pasture-raised chicken every other week (bi-weekly). Chickens will be fresh or frozen, processed and in a bag. (Giblets/Head/Feet/Neck not included but may be available upon request).

Whole share of eggs include 1 dozen of our rich, farm fresh eggs available weekly for pickup/delivery. A half share consists of 1 dozen eggs bi-weekly. Additionally, a double share can be purchased which will provide you with 2 dozen eggs weekly at a discount price.

2013 CSA Session

The next CSA session will begin May 4, 2013. Enrollment will open December 7th though March 5th or until all available shares have been sold out. There will be a limited amount of new shares available.  Returning CSA members will get first choice of shares and once those shares are released, we will have them available for sale to the general public.  Please note: CSA shares are for local customers only. We will NOT ship shares.
